Racism in the 21st Century

After many movements throughout the world to stamp out discrimination, more primarily racism, I just don't understand how people can be so prejudiced to their opinions on 'first impressions'. The media doesn't exactly make it any easier for people to improve themselves, constantly pointing out flaws and flaunting comparisons between incomparable subjects. I'm a bit late on the news because I lack my SMH subscription this year, but the internet sure helps a lot when updating myself with the latest breaking news around the world.
Yesterday morning i heard about the CNN incident with Jack Cafferty, who doesn't make himself any wiser by judging on a people as a whole. I just think some people should learn to think before they speak because it surprises me when such well educated people(I'd assume that, if he made it into journalism) could be so short-sighted into current issues in the global community. It's impossible to disregard the fact that you're airing on National television reaching a wide variety of communities who do have morals. I'll include the little excerpt of his speech of doom:
"...We're running hundreds of billions of dollars worth of trade deficits
with them, as we continue to import their junk with the lead paint on them
and
the poison pet food... I think they're basically the same bunch of goons
and
thugs they've been for the last 50 years..."
In my honest opinion, he just totally digged himself a grave! LOL Think about how many billion chinese people there are in the world! Bush is a douche too, for even thinking of boycotting the Beijing Olympics. I always thought/was taught that the Olympics is about harmony and peace and the unity of the global community altogether but.. I GUESS NOT.
