Sydney Boys formal was at Four Points by Sheraton. I vaguely knew the place existed, only because our school bus 659 to Town Hall would pass it. I don't know how to describe it, but the excitement was built up gradually on the day. I don't want to recount too much, because i'm pretty sure my band 2 english skills are going to boil your braincells and you'll all give up on my blog altogether eventually. Hahaha

I trained it out with Bek and Matt at 3:35pm from Campsie because we wanted to get there at around 4. It was nice talking to them on the train, after almost 3-4 weeks without seeing them. We just compared the smell of our hairspray, the height that our heels will be giving us, who will be at the formal... everything BUT the HSC. :) The Meriton serviced apartments at World Square were so beautiful, i honestly wouldn't mind living in one of those. After exploring the room a bit, i decided to read up a little on my Society and Culture notes, as i had an exam the next day. David broke the cupboard :) and we stood around watching Matt trying to fix it hahaha. Matt brought his handycam and made a few videos at the hotel, that i'm sure bek (or many other guys) might love to watch again one day HAHAHA. Inside joke, a failed inside joke :(.

When the time came, we all got ready. The guys looking swanky in their suits, and girls looking all gorgeous and glammed up, and those that were in between, i.e. Phil Wang, looked a tad more masculine in his suit for once. LOL I didn't take as many photos as i would have liked to, because my stupid battery died three-quarters way in the night and the failure to find flash, made most of my photos shit quality. Some chose to walk there, some cabbed it. Bek and I would make efforts to j-walk, because we're daredevils of the new century. Hahaha, nah we'd make more time for luvos while people waited at the traffic lights across the road.

The food was pretty awesome, i absolutely loved the entree, except i didn't really eat the lettuce because i'm a rebel :). I stole peoples' tomatos because i love tomatos, how can people not like tomatos? I like tandoori chicken :) and the yoghurt that came with it. We had steak for the main course, and lets just say.. it tasted awesome in the beginning and then .... it got worse by the mouthful. Maybe it was because of all the people complaining about it! >=( Spoiled my food!

Eventually the lights were dimmed, and the silly instrumental music from older songs (i.e. Can't Find the Moonlight, Billie Jean, Baby One More Time etc) was jazzed up a little with new hits that many people rocked up the dance floor with. We ran around the small function area, photos were taken in every corner of the room.

It would have been nice to stay for afters, but unfortunately, i had my last exam the day after. But anyways, i'll stop talking now, because i'm sure you guys are sick and tired of my effortless, monotonous recount of a wonderful night. n.b. : this entry is an understated recount and does the actual night no justice at all.
