I really wonder how you feel on these nights so alone

As forementioned, celebrations of all kinds are scribbled all over my calendar, and as each day goes by, i'm at least 50$ poorer (i hope thats a word). Yesterday was JOLI's combined 18th birthday party at The Bowler's Club on York Street in Town Hall. They had people give out green bands to the 18+ people at the door so they can buy drinks. The minors didn't have the privilege to have pass outs or purchase drinks, but good thanks to a girl(whom i'll leave anonymous for privacy's sake) who kindly lent me her's for the night. I assure you it takes skill to detach those stupid things without making the band void, thus making it invalid. Although i didn't take much advantage of having the band, it was still fun watching people gawk at the sight of me having one of those, despite having a stupid school id that allows me to pass of as a 16 year old (lol).

The night started off a bit awkward, mainly because i didn't know too many people and there were new faces everywhere. Things started clicking into place halfway through the night, even though all i did was tag along with people. Saw Jackie again, after almost 4 years ! Caught up for a tiny bit, and somehow found myself dragged onto the dancefloor. People were complaining about how shit the DJ, hahaha but i don't know the differences of a good and bad DJ ;__;. As for eyecandy... hmm it was too difficult to find people in the dark, let alone check out guys :). I remember getting creamed/caked by Katrine the little bitch :p I never got her back because she was too quick for me! I swear i need to invest on my own digicam, because this is the best time to take down all these post-HSC memories.

Speaking of the HSC, I'm terrified of receiving the results in less than a week. I think i'll cry when i see my UAI. I'm not too satisfied with my efforts of studying in the past year. Lets just see how things go, but just thinking about getting a shit UAI and letting the parents down just makes me light-headed (the bad feeling light-headedness!) :(

After the party, they decided to head down to the bottlers and then change course for another location for our rendezvous. That place creeped me out, with the rats and the weird hobo people. All i have to say is, it was quite an exciting experience that involved random ramblings about nothing, discovering beer that actually tasted alright, witnessing Bec Tran's relatively funny tipsiness, bottle-top skimming into the 'water feature' in the middle of the fucking place, singing Backstreet Boys and the Chinese National Anthem, then hearing someone yell out 'COPS!' and then seeing an explosion of asian kids scattering in all directions. Quite hilarious actually :) but let the rest of the night be a memory, i can't be bothered putting it all into words.

I was reading the current events section in a forum and came across quite a sweet article of a dog who risked its life to rescue a fellow canine acquaintance (: who was hit on a highway by dragging it aside from oncoming traffic. It really says a lot about the world.. well it pinpoints characteristics that humans lack in today's society. Well if dogs have that kind of compassion for others, how come humans can't do it? Instead, all we do is take advantage of other peoples' misfortune. But the video of the dog rescuing its fellow pup can be viewed at http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DgjyhKN_35g ! It does bring tears to the eyes :).. well it did for me anyway!

I'll leave you guys to it, i've got quite a bit to do today. I still need to register for a keycard, and do something with my bank account before they transfer all my savings to the Federal blahblah money thing.

kthxbye!
