“Today I am fortunate to have woken up, I am alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others, to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings, I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others, I am going to benefit others as much as I can.”
- Dalai Lama
Although, even after 13 years of 'religious education', i still have little to no idea who this guy is and what he represents in the global community. Yeah call me uninformed, or even ignorant, if you must. But that would be besides the point. I happened to stumble across this quote on someone's tumblr, and somehow it just seemed to relate to the life i currently lead. I've been a selfish and ignorant person and i don't seem to appreciate what i have. I love my family, i LOVE my friends. Although i'm not at all enjoying uni all too much at the moment, i'm grateful for what i've already been given.
What the fuck is the meaning of life... :( I just want happiness. Is that the answer to the question?
I've changed.
I'm just not me anymore. Or it just doesn't feel like it.
