I came across a facebook group a few minutes ago. And then it brought me back to all the shit that happened. HAHA I just realised how stupid I was/how petty the other person (lets call them
X) is. So
X still has a problem with me talking to someone (lets call them
Y), and it's virtually impossible for
Y and I to maintain a friendship.
I felt compelled to write this petty little anecdote here because then, I can stop and think about what's working/not working in terms of which friendships are worth putting effort into and which are not.
Clearly, my friendship with
Y has been pushed to the edge of the cliff so many times that the cliff itself started to crumble a while ago. I am not going to tolerate
Y being protective of
X just because they have attitude problems. And it certainly isn't of my concern at all if they fuck up in life either.
I've had enough of putting up with people stepping all over me to get what they want. If
X wishes to be a petty loser, then so be it. It always felt like they put on that fake smile everytime I walked by anyways.
Y can stay in the acquaintance status. I'm not making any more effort for them to give them the opportunity to catapult insults at me, whether it be subtly or inconspicuously.
