2010, what a year

Watching that vid just gave me goosebumps. And it's safe to say, 2010 was full of surprises. I met people who I know are here for the long haul. I've witnessed the possibility of so many different characters within the one person. I've been through a lot of shit within the past 365 days. The peaks and troughs are what made 2010, 2010.
Natural disasters are inevitable, and such tragedies should pose as a reminder of how lucky we are... to be able to live without worries of malnutrition, or sudden attacks from mother nature, and to be able to live under a roof with our families and loved ones.
More often than not, we take for granted what we have - from the people who lend a shoulder when times get tough, to the simplest things like clean, running water. We overlook the perks of being alive and healthy, when others in other countries die trying.
As for 2010, I met someone who will forever change the way I'll see life. Someone who compels me to be my best, not because of rivalry or competition, but because he is someone who deserves the best from me and is always ready to reciprocate or challenge my perspectives. :)
